An international company is planning to launch a cryptocurrency-focused food service in the UK.
The project is based on the concept of ‘superfood’ and aims to offer premium vegan food.
The company, called Vegemite, has already signed up a number of vegan food outlets, which are also offering vegan-friendly products.
The company is already operating in the U.K. and will begin in the country’s capital of London this week.
The food service will offer customers the opportunity to sample a variety of vegan foods, including vegan dishes from the UK’s best-known veggie restaurants, as well as vegan dishes made with fresh ingredients.
The Vegemites first restaurant, in Soho, was established in 2013, and the company now boasts a number at the restaurant and the website.
The Vegemited restaurant will be opening its first store at the end of this month, which will be able to serve up to 50 customers per night.
Vegemite has also secured funding from a number angel investors.
The startup has raised £1 million in a Series B round, which includes a new round of funding led by CapitalVenture, according to the Financial Times.
The restaurant is being funded by a number investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Accel Partners, DST Capital, Digital Currency Group, and Digital Currency Partners.
