Here are some tips and tricks for making a goulash and other gourmet treats at home.

First, make the salad.
In a large bowl, mix the olive oil, vinegar, salt, garlic, parsley and onion with the water in a blender or food processor.
Add the vinegar and blend for about five minutes.
Next, put the lemon zest in a medium bowl, toss the basil, lemon juice, garlic and parsley together and stir to combine.
Add a small amount of the salad dressing and toss well.
Taste for seasoning.
Add salt to taste.
Add more dressing if you like.
Serve the salad on a plate or over some crackers.
