The dough is kneaded, the yeast is added and the bread is made.

The final product will be a bread with a crispy crust.

This recipe uses all-purpose flour, but you can use regular flour if you prefer.

2 tablespoons unsalted butter 1/4 cup bread flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon baking powder 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 1 tablespoon freshly ground nutmeg 1/3 cup packed brown sugar 1/16 teaspoon ground cloves 1/6 teaspoon baking soda 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 3/4 teaspoon baking vinegar 1/10 teaspoon dried yeast 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly grease a baking sheet with butter and place the dough onto it.

Let the dough rise in the fridge for at least 20 minutes.

After it has risen, transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface and knead for 20 minutes or until the dough is smooth.

Divide the dough into four equal parts.

Make three 1-inch balls, and roll each into a cylinder.

Wrap each cylinder in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to two days.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt and baking powder.

In another bowl, mix together the butter and bread flour.

Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and baking soda to the butter mixture.

Mix together to combine.

With a rubber spatula, form the dough in the bowl with the dough ball.

Cover the bowl and let the dough sit at room temperature for at at least two hours.

When the dough has doubled in size, cut each half into three equal pieces and place them in a greased loaf pan.

Place the bread pan in the oven for 15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Transfer the bread to a plate.

Place a sheet of foil on top and allow the bread in the pan to cool.

Meanwhile, whisk the vegetable oil in a small saucepan until it reaches the temperature of the olive oil.

Heat the remaining vegetable oil over medium-high heat in a heavy-bottomed pan until it becomes shimmering and a little shimmering is visible.

Add a pinch of cayanne pepper to the pan and cook for a minute.

Add more vegetable oil if necessary to prevent burning.

Add 1/5 cup brown sugar and 1/15 teaspoon ground cinnamon.

Mix until the sugar melts and the cinnamon starts to become fragrant.

Remove from heat and stir in the brown sugar.

Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Top with sliced almonds and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Serve with grated parmesan.
